It seems Disney cannot decide on Tarzan the encounter! Earlier in the year the show was ‘dropped’ for this summer, a few weeks later it was announced that the show would have a limited run this summer instead. However not long ago it was revealed that Tarzan was indeed not coming back at all (this summer at least).
The show is believed to be called ‘Goofys Summer Camp’ and member MagicDays reports that the show will be interactive with musicians, characters and dancers. Also a element of the former Pocahontas show (it was performed at the Charappal theatre 10 years ago) will be included in ‘Goofys Summer Camp’
The show is expected to run from July 4th to August 30th 2009, more details as they are released.
It’s Party Time… with Mickey and Friends in Disneyland Park at Disneyland Resort Paris, part of Mickey’s Magical Party (La Fête Magique de Mickey), a brand new year-long series of events and festivities from April 2009 to March 2010. See our other videos for more from the party!
Part 1
Part 2
Mickeys grand new party spectacle happens every day this year, right at the heart of the park, with famous Disney characters singing, dancing and laughing along on the giant stage and its getting closer to the crowds on four new satellite stages!
Donald, Goofy, Timon, Baloo, Tigger, Peter Pan and Wendy join the fun with their own party games — from jazzy dance moves to a massive wave of hands in the air circling around Central Plaza.
During my last visit at WDW and especially the Typhoon Lagoon waterpark, we talked about the fact that there is no waterpark at the Disneyland Resort Paris. Of course the weather in Paris is not that nice like California or Florida, especially in the winter time. So a big outdoor version like in Florida, is virtually impossible in DLRP.
In the past, during the development of the Resort, there were actually plans to build a waterpark, named: Lava lagoon. Below some pictures of the creation and development of this waterpark (thanks to webcot).
Although the party hasn’t officially begun Disneyland Resort Paris launched the year long celebration yesterday!
The park closed for guests at 8pm leaving only media crews and VIPs inside the park to witness the launch and a spectacular firework display!
In the days before the launch DLRP had set up a special Mickey shaped projection screen to assist the launch, and the castle was covered with balloons…well projected balloons for the launch!

Oh and a launch wouldn’t be the same without any fireworks right?
A few weeks ago the original castle toppers were reinstalled after the 15th anniversary decorations were removed. Fans thought that Disney had scrapped its decoration plans for the castle!
Today saw the first actual preview of ‘It’s Dance Time… in Discoveryland’ a couple of weeks ago an area of Discoveryland was painted with circular markings for participiants and a new poster hung on the side of Space Mountain!
Thanks to the MagicForum for this image
Fans on the MagicForum have been concerned about the state of the markings as some wear and tear has been spotted and they have only just been installed!!
So with thanks from Cafe Mickey we are pleased to show you the first photos of ‘Its Dance Time…’
Stitch is Landing!!
Spaceship...and stages!

Catch the show in April at Disneyland Resort Paris!
From around February we have seen colourful construction fences surrounding central plaza. Construction Workers have been busy removing the 15th anniversary stage and replacing it with a all-new stage for ‘Its Party Time…With Mickey and Friends’!!
The construction fences are down and the new stage can be seen in all its glory!
The first ‘worry’ is: does the new stage block a perfect view of the castle from the Main Street Station (and will it ruin my photos?) DLRP-times answered that question:
No! in fact the new stage fits in very well and looks like an ‘extension’ to the castle! (photo: DLRPtimes Lynxmagic)

Now when will we see the Mickeys Magical Party decorations on Main Street USA? This does raise a few questions especially as it appears the anticipated castle decorations have been scrapped.
