Pin Trading the ‘newest’ Disneyland Resort Paris tradition is still going strong and popular plus with Disneystore UK started a popular pin trading programme it is expected that more families will take part in Pin Trading as its about to get a whole lot easier! Starting soon you will be able to trade pins (we presume the same rules as pin trading around the world) with Disneystore UK cast members!
Moving across the Channel Disneyland Resort Paris has released details of its April Pin Releases!
Surprisingly only Mickeys Magical Party starter set but thats it on the ‘party’ front! (well a few Mickeys Magical Party pin designs were released in March)
What else can you expect? well a new ‘resort attraction’ pin is to be released for ‘Playhouse Disney Live on Stage!’ There is a Easter LE pin oh and a new Hannah Montana open edition set (possibly for the ‘Hannah Montana’ movie due to be released soon)
Stitch makes an appearence with a booster pack for all Stitch fans!

I have just seen some fantastic news about Pin Trading 
Over the last few months Disney Store UK have been selling a small range of pins online and in London stores.
In January I noticed that a lot of the pins had sold out and didn’t appear on the website. I asked a Disney Store Cast Member and she told me that it was a trial and it was popular. I didn’t think about it anymore until I found a webpage on the official Disney Store webpage!

The Walt Disney Company has always offered collectible Disney pins in each of its Parks and Resorts around the world. In 1999 we introduced the tradition of Disney Pin Trading. Today, thousands of Guests trade pins with other Guests and Cast Members from around the world. This year, Pin Trading is coming to the Disney Store in the UK. Our Cast Members are busy getting a collection together so that they will soon be able to start trading with our Guests. You can start collecting pins online and in our stores very soon. We will be releasing new pins every month including Limited Editions and Online Exclusives. Why not start a collection yourself?

I personally think that this is great news
But I do not yet know when they will start selling the pins

We asked our blog readers what your favourite season at Disneyland Resort Paris is and we have an answer!
The favourite season is Christmas with 46% of the vote, next came Halloween with 27% of the vote, closely followed by Easter!
Other favourite seasons included New Year and St Patricks day (the ‘Other’ option had a percentage of 23%)
But tomorrow you have a chance to vote for your favourite ‘DLRP Pin of all time’!!

This month sees a few pin releases from the latest Disney Channel Original Movie ‘Camp Rock’ with both of the ‘Camp Rock’ pins featuring the Jonas Brothers. This month is the release of a Bambi Christmas Pin. Also released this month is a ‘Stitch Invasion Europe’ pin.

This months Pin Releases have been released but only two pins are new this month.
Both pins will be released on Saturday 30th August and the first is called: ‘Mushu 2008‘ and will cost €6 (open edition), here’s a image:
The second pin is a limited edition pin in the ‘Walt Disney Series’ it is the 4th pin in the series and is based on Snow White. It is priced at 11€90 with an edition size of 900 pins, here’s a image:
Also happening in August is a Pin Trading day on the 30th and on arrival you will receive a free pin and collecting board and then you can purchase the other pins in the set around the park (each pin can be brought in a different boutique) between 9am to 12pm.

here at DLRPblog we LOVE pin trading (well some of us do!) and we hope you do too!
We are going to run a feature very very soon about YOUR Disneyland Resort Paris Pins and we want you to decide on the best DLRP pin ever!
Nominations open today so head over to the nominating page by clicking here!
All you have to do is fill out a simple nominating form and then the form will be sent to a moderator for ‘inspection’ then it will appear on the nominations next week and then you can vote for the pin you want to win the title of ‘Best DLRP pin of the year’
There is a open edition title and a LE title as well so feel free to nominate a LE and a OE!
